I love this!
ReplyDeleteAbove the NICU entrance they had this Quote from Dr Seuss:
"A person's a person no matter how small"
It has just stuck with me through our experience and more since. Katelyn is becoming her own person and I am so grateful.
Pick me! :)
love You Guys!!
I don't know that I really have a parenting mantra, but don't sweat the small stuff keeps coming to mind...as our sweet babies get older, there become some trying times, but just love love love them through it!!

"It is in giving that we receive". It is one of the important things that I hope my children learn from me each day. I try to display the love of giving in everyday life. It also applies to my kids. In giving them life I receive their unconditional love.

"March to the beat of your own drum" would be mine.
ReplyDeleteOne thing I really hope for our son is that he is able to be himself, and be proud of it! I hope Chance marches to the beat of his own drum, and is as unique and quirky as he wants to be, and doesn't just go with the crowd. Love him!!

Preemie mom here! "The days are long but the years are short." It stuck with me through everything. As hard as everything seems, it will be over so fast so you *have* to enjoy your baby. Before you know it, they'll be grown up and you'd wish you'd have just rolled with the punches and taken it day by day, watching them grow.

Unconditional love..every day, all day.
ReplyDeleteWe were blessed with our little "miracle" baby 2 years ago and every day he teaches us the true meaning of unconditional love. He will soon have a little sister for us to love unconditionally in December. Life is amazing in ways we never thought possible.

My daughter who was born at 27 weeks weighing 1 pound 1 ounce spent 114 days in the NICU. She is now a happy & healthy 13 month old miracle!
If children have the ability to ignore all odds and percentages, then maybe we can all learn from them. When you think about it, what other choice is there but to hope? We have two options, medically and emotionally: give up, or Fight Like Hell." (Lance Armstrong)
